About Vinit Bodas

Vinit Bodas is the Founder, President, and Chief Investment Officer of Deccan Value. He manages investments in the US, International, and Emerging Markets. Throughout his 30-year career, he has invested in over 30 countries. Prior to establishing Deccan Value in 2004, Vinit Bodas was an analyst, a portfolio manager, and a team leader in firms on both East and West Coasts of the US.

As a leader, Vinit Bodas guides his firm's investment strategies with a disciplined approach. He maintains a concentrated portfolio with 5–10 positions. He places emphasis on in-depth analysis of funds, resulting in 2–3 investment decisions per year. Committed to a long-term approach and proper incentive alignment with clients, Vinit Bodas paves the way toward lasting partnerships and successful investment results.

Vinit and his wife, Uma, founded the Vijaya Foundation in 2006. The Foundation supports education, Vipassana meditation, Indian cultural and religious institutions, and Connecticut community causes. They have been Teach For America leadership donors since at least 2009, and were donors to Dartmouth's Call to Lead campaign as parents of two Dartmouth alumni.
